He is known for pioneering the "Modern Orientalism" design language. Wu Bin has been nominated 11 times for the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Awards. In 2020, he was honored with the "Designer of the Year" award, becoming the first designer from mainland China to receive this accolade.
